Play-in-a-Day

Annual Play-In-A-Day Event Postponed

Hurricane Irma has taken her toll and Seminole County Public Schools have closed school and all activities through Monday.
Once again, this means we unfortunately can’t be in Lake Howell High School this weekend.

Additionally, given that both Lake Howell High School and BMP have some previously scheduled shows/events that do not give us sooner than later availability, we are likely having to completely postpone until the 2018 side of the calendar. Though this is not 100% certain at this time.
All of you will have first right of refusal once we have a new date confirmed.

Regarding tickets:
If you or your families/friends purchased tickets… their purchases will still be good on the new date or they can get a refund, make a donation to the BMP Theatre Scholarship Fund or use it as credit toward another BMP show.
If you have already given us a gift certificate/bag… this will also be used at the new date.

Thank you all so much for your patience, contributions and understanding. It will happen… it’s just a matter of when. We will be in touch very soon with the new date(s)

WHAT IS PLAY-IN-A-DAY?
It’s 10 TEAMS of theatre artists creating and performing short works under the guidelines of a 24 hour time frame and a common theme.
The writers are being given the theme and their individual ‘twist’ at the beginning of a 12-hour period of their own choosing that is their window for creating the script. The directors and performers will know nothing of their script until it is unveiled to them bright-and-early Saturday morning and will be working furiously to present them to the audience that evening.

Where: Lake Howell High School Theatre 4200 Dike Road
