It’s teams of Central Florida theatre artists creating and performing short works under the guidelines of a 24- hour time frame and a common theme.

WHEN IS PIAD?
This year Play-In-A-Day will be LIVE on Sat. June 19th (Juneteenth) Silent Auction beginning at 7pm Show beginning at 7:30 pm-9:30pm (ish)
WHERE IS PIAD?
This year we are back to being LIVE!!!!.BMP is thrilled to be back in partnership with Penguin Point Productions with the venue located at The Oviedo Mall(Located at 1220 Oviedo Mall Blvd. 32765)*Enter where you see a blue covered walkway and school buses parked in the lot. Penguin Point is the second business on the right once entered)
WHERE DO THE PROCEEDS GO?
100% of the proceeds made from Play-In-A-Day 2021 (donations and silent auction items) will go towards the BMP TOP TEENS Scholarship Fund to ensure young emerging artists can continue to have opportunities to grow into adult theatre makers of all capacities.
HOW DO I GET TICKETS?
BethMarshallPresents.com No walk-ups. All tickets sold-in advance. We have way less tickets for sale due to size of venue and capacity restrictions. Please don’t miss out by waiting til last minute to purchase.

WHAT IS COVID PROTOCOL?
We will be following the guidelines of CDC and in alignment with the theatre protocol of Penguin Point Productions. Masks will be required for ALL audience members at ALL times. Actors will be wearing masks. We strongly recommend EVERYONE to get vaccinated. Seating capacity will be limited to 70 seats available.(66% of the total seats in venue) We normally work with roughly with 200 artists, this year we have reduced down to 45 artists and 6 teams.
Fun Facts about 2021 PIAD:
- 21 of our 45 artists are brand new to the event.
- 8 artists are taking on a new position that they are not usually known for.
- Penguin Point Productions at Oviedo Mall marks our 6th venue for the event (that we know of)
- 60% of our artists are from the BIPOC community.
- 70% of our artists identify as women or non gender conforming.
- You will notice one of our writers is Anonymous. Not even the team will know their writer. Audience will have an opportunity to guess who they think wrote the piece for a prize.
- Silent auction items include: original art, show tickets, mystery baskets, gift baskets, gift certificates to local shops and eateries, and more.
- Last but not least, our theme this year is inspired by a show in Orlando Fringe 30.
