Aradhana Tiwari (Director) has an M.A. in Theater from the University of Central Florida. She is thrilled to be returning to the Garden to play “under the stars”! Past shows here include The Diviners, Crimes of The Heart, Driving Miss Daisy with Beth Marshall Presents and Steel Magnolias with The Vine Theater Company. Tiwari has directed a myriad of productions in and around Central Florida, most recently The Clean House at Rollins Annie Russell Theatre and The Light In The Piazza at Madcow Theatre. Other directing credits include: Words We Wear, Other Desert Cities, Enchanted April, The Road To Mecca, The Way Of The Cards, Connected, Bombs Babes & Bingo, The Singing Christmas Trees, X: The Rise & Fall of an Asylum Star, War Of The Worlds, Julius Caesar, The Little Foxes, Peter Pan, The Goat, Or Who is Sylvia?, It’s A Wonderful Life, Little Women, and The Pink Ribbon Project. Peg O’Keef (Katherine) is a native Central Floridian who has had the great pleasure of working on many local stages throughout the last four decades. She last performed in the Garden Theatre in Parallel Lives (with Joe Reed) and is very pleased to return to this stage, especially working with Beth and Aradhana—two women she admires deeply. When not laboring in theatre, Peg works with Winter Garden’s own Q Media Productions, Inc. developing audio tours; teaches screenwriting and criticism at UCF; and edits copy for the Florida Film Festival. She resides on the edge of the Green Swamp with her husband Andy Salter.
Chris Gibson (Beethoven) is currently on break from an international tour of The Intergalactic Nemesis (a live-action graphic novel developed in Austin) that has included runs in Canada and Scotland, The Kennedy Center, The Spoleto Festival, and Broadway’s The New Victory Theatre. (intergalacticnemesis.com) A graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (NY), Chris cut his teeth as an actor with several producing companies in Tampa, FL: The Loft Theatre, The Tampa Players, American Stage Theatre, The Off-Center Theatre, B.O.B. (theatrical palindrome), The Hillsborough Moving Company, and in Orlando at Mad Cow Theatre, The Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, and of course, Beth Marshall Presents. Most rcently, Chris was seen as The Stage Manager in BMP’s 2009 production of Our Town. Chris is currently living in Austin, TX, where his acting credits include The Austin Playhouse (Misalliance), Zach Scott Theatre (Becky’s New Car, August: Osage County, A Christmas Story), Trouble Puppet Theatre (The Head), Glass Half Full Theatre (FupDuck) Penfold Theatre (Its a Wonderful Life) and Breaking String Theatre (Three, or The Sound of the Great Existential Nothingness). In addition to performing, Chris has served as Producer of the Orlando International Fringe Festival, and as co-creator and performer in “L’Ange avec les Fleurs”, an original fringe piece produced by Beth Marshall Presents. L’Ange toured internationally and had a lovely residency at the Winter Garden Theatre!
Stephen Lima (Schindler) is honored to be finally working with Beth Marshall Presents. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Stephen is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC and was a member of their prestigious showcase Company. Recent credits include Neville in Seasons Greetings (Baystreet Players) Raul in Extremities (GOAT Theatre) Michael in The Flight of the Earls, El-Fayoumy in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (Empty Spaces Theatre Co.), Ariel in The Pillowman, (Hubris Theatre), Mellersh in Enchanted April, Peter in Legacy of Light, Tony Lumpkin in She Stoops to Conquer, Bill Walker in Major Barbara, Segismundo in Life is a Dream and Moss in Glengarry Glen Ross (Mad Cow Theater). Stephen would like to thank this wonderful cast & crew for all their hard work and dedication.
Becky Eck (Clara) is excited to be back at The Garden in another Beth Marshall Presents show after having such a wonderful time as Jane in Alice Lost in Wonderland. She graduated with a BA in Theatre from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and, upon graduation, toured nationally with the Eckerd Theatre Company based out of Clearwater, FL for four years. She has been seen at The Garden in Jester Theater Company’s Noises Off and Moonlight and Magnolias, as well as PB&J Theatre Factory’s SPORT, SNACK, and SLEIGH. Other Orlando credits include: Death of a Salesman, Enchanted April, Legacy of Light (Mad Cow Theatre), A Christmas Story, Tomato Plant Girl, and The Hundred Dresses (Orlando Repertory Theatre). She thanks Tim and Lula for giving her the roles she treasures most, wife and mother.
Mike Deaven (Mike) is thrilled to be working at the Garden with Beth Marshall Presents again. This is his fifth production with the company since he first appeared as Orin in Children of a Lesser God last March. Mike also works with the company as Assistant to the Producer. Most recently Mike appeared as the many personalities of Louis/Sir Time/Tweedle/Gardener in the BMP original production of Alice Lost in Wonderland. He graduated in 2012 from UCF with a BA in Theatre and music minor. Mike is especially excited for this show for two reasons: the beautiful Beethoven music, and because his character has his name. He would like to extend thanks to the wonderful cast and crew he is fortunate to work with, Beth Marshall for all of the opportunities she has given him, and his ever-supportive parents.
Brett P. Carson (Diabelli) is honored to take part in his first Garden Theatre production. He has appeared in previous BMP shows, most recently as the Bongo Beat in Beatnik. Favorite roles include Marquis de Sade in Quills, Sam Byck in Assassins and Judge Turpin in Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd. He has numerous friends and family, all of whom he wishes to thank and loves dearly, and hopes you enjoy the show!
Janine Papin (Gertie) is thrilled to return to the Garden Theatre after having so much fun playing the Mother Superior in Theatreworks production in Nunsense last fall. She has been active in the theatre world of Central Florida as a director, choreographer, singer, dancer, and actress for more years than she would like to take credit for, but this marks her first role with Beth Marshall Presents. She is employed by Trinity Preparatory School in Winter Park, Florida, where she is Fine Arts chair, Auditorium Manager, theatre teacher, and director. In 2006 she was awarded The H. Benton Ellis Award for Excellence in Teaching. She loves performing, and sharing her passion for the stage with her students. Some of her favorite roles include the Mother Superior (Nunsense –Theatreworks Florida), Beggar Woman (Sweeney Todd– Mad Cow theatre), Pennywise (Urinetown– Valencia C.C.) and Mrs. Pierce (yMy Fair Lady – Bob Carr with the OPO).
