2013-14 SEASON ANNOUNCEMENT
Beth Marshall Presents is excited to announce our sixth season full of exclusively world, national or local premieres!
We are honored to be continuing our 6th year of partnership with The Garden Theatre as well as our 2nd year of partnership with Penguin Point Productions and Lake Howell High School, while beginning our 1st year of partnership with The Venue. Additionally, after our one-year touring hiatus we are glad to be back on the road again!
Tickets for all our non-touring shows go on sale in May 2013 at BethMarshallPresents.com. Our season subscribers of The Garden Theatre and BMP may purchase tickets early in April 2013. Our touring show ticket sales will be announced at a later date once the tour is finalized.
Our season auditions for all shows and roles (sans Commencement) will be held June 22nd-24th 2013 at The Garden Theatre by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled beginning June 1st 2013. More detailed specifics for auditions TBA at a later time.
2013 Annual Play-In-A-Day
- Season Kick-Off in Partnership with Lake Howell High School & Penguin Point Productions

- Featuring the talents of a mix of Orlando’s most veteran theatre professionals working alongside emerging top high school talent to offer up 100% original plays all written, rehearsed and fully performed off book within a 24-hour time span! Partial proceeds from this event go to benefit a District 3 High School Theatre Scholarship. Silent Auction & Raffle.

Alice Lost in Wonderland (World Premiere)

- Alice Lost in Wonderland marks our 9th production in partnership with The Garden and our world premiere of this adaptation.

Beatnik
- A Bohemian multi-media performance art evening of poetry, music, dance and theatre in collaboration with Blue’s VarieTEASE and Tod Caviness’ Poetry Vending Machine.

33 Variations (Central Florida Premiere)

- Follow Beethoven’s journey of his final years as he ekes out Diabelli Variations and a present-day musicologist studying the piece while warding off Lou Gehrig’s disease. Drama, memory and music combine to transport in this extraordinary drama about passion, parenthood and the moments of beauty that can transform a life.

Commencement

- In times when schools such as Sandy Hook and Columbine are household names, Commencement’s message rings so necessary. One actor plays the mother of the shooter, one of the victims and the mother of a victim in the grim aftermath of a high school shooting.

The Books

- An offbeat dramatic love story with plenty of dark comedy, THE BOOKS chronicles the developing relationship of a professional dominatrix, Mistress Chimera, and her agoraphobic client, Mark. After Mark loans her a copy of James Joyce’s Dubliners, their personal relationship deepens, complicating their sadomasochistic rituals. Before the couple can truly fall in love, they both must accept that some people may never fit into society.
